NEWS RELEASE

"Family Helper" offers free web pages for adoption support groups

Robin Hilborn, editor of Adoption Helper magazine, is offering web pages at his web site, called Family Helper.

He will create free web pages for Canadian adoption or post-adoption support groups, as long as they are nonprofit and not funded by government.

He explains his offer: "I want to help out the volunteers who work so hard to keep adoption support groups running. They really deserve our support, especially since they can't expect to get funding from government. I hope these web pages will help them publicize their efforts and attract new members. Groups could list their activities and give their phone number and email address. They can also print out their page and use it in promotional material."

He said he hopes visitors to the support group pages will also visit his web site, Family Helper To help people find it, the free pages carry the line, "Hosted by Family Helper".

To request a web page for your group, send email to Robin Hilborn, at helper@familyhelper.net.

Family Helper was created by Robin Hilborn, who works from his home office in Southampton, Ont., publishing both Adoption Helper and Post-adoption Helper magazines. If you haven't seen his Family Helper web site (www.familyhelper.net), it's worth a look. Family Helper specializes in adoption information for Canadians. For example, all the Canadian adoption agencies are listed and described there (go to www.familyhelper.net/arc/agy.html).
