Foodland donates $4,000
to Southampton's 150th anniversary
Southampton, Ont., Aug. 30, 2007 -- Foodland of Southampton held its famous annual "Feast on the Beach" BBQ on July 1 at Pioneer Park to raise money for the celebration of Southampton's 150th Anniversary next year.

A commemorative 16-month calendar titled Southampton, Then and Now, is now for sale. It uses photos and historical captions to contrast how the town used to look with how it looks today. Copies of the 36-page calendar are $20 each at selected stores in Southampton, listed at www.familyhelper.net/150/calendar.html. Proceeds support the 150th anniversary.
